The Capital Markets Authority of Kenya plans to introduce a regulatory framework to monitor how companies conduct their valuations before going for an initial public offering. The move is meant to curb negative returns to investors, which is becoming a common case at the Nairobi Securities Exchange where four out of twelve companies listed in the last 16 years are trading below the IPO price.
