ALU launches MBA program in Rwanda


Education is widely accepted as a leading instrument for promoting economic growth. For Africa, where growth is essential if the continent is to climb out of poverty, enrolment in higher education- Masters and PhD stood at 9.3 per cent in 2014 compared to 6.9 per cent in the late 90s. Africa Leadership University, school of business recently launched the continent's first pan-African MBA program here in Rwanda, welcoming students from 22 nations. CNBC Africa spoke to Fred Swainker, Founder of ALU and Wendy Luhabe, Faculty member and Social Entrepreneur for more.
